Another LOL Friday!

joy

Let's try this again. No one. I repeat. No one shared a funny, laugh-at-yourself moment last Friday. I'm dying to hear your stories! Laughter is always a good idea.

I'll be the first to choose joy today. Here's my moment. Actually two. Confession. They're my mother's moments because she has really good ones!

Once she returned to work after an "annual" visit to her doctor. Wearing a skirt, she just felt a little "chilled". She suddenly realized that she had left her underwear in the exam room. Seriously.

Ready for the next one? You know those times where your mind is just in another place? During a very busy move, after lots of packing and cleaning, my mom made a quick trip to the store. She placed her items on the counter. She was so distracted, she just remembers the cashier saying, "Lady, what are you doing?" My mom had opened the paper towels and Windex she was purchasing and was cleaning the counter!!!

Told you she has good moments. Every time she tells me stuff like this, we laugh so hard. When I have moments like this, we call them Shirley moments. That's my mom. Whirley Shirley. Love her!

Okay, I'll share one from this week. While it was just two boys in the house, one was trying on his new wrestling clothes. After, while just in his underwear, I asked him "do you want to run around in the house in your underwear? No girls home!" My Ethiopian son missed the word "in" and ran out the door before I knew what happened. He ran around our house- outside- in his whitey tighties! We were rolling! My neighbors may think I am a total freakjob of a mom.

Now it's YOUR turn! Share in the comment box below or on facebook your LOL Friday moment! Have a great weekend!

Yes, this is a devotional blog. It's also a community. Sisters sharing life, which definitely includes laughter.

Psalm 126:2

New International Version (NIV)
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
β€œThe Lord has done great things for them.”
