What can God do with you?

If you are reading this blog, then I know you are after something. Your spirit is thirsty and hungry. You are searching, seeking answers or encouragement. That means your heart is open and you have not given up. Do you know what God can do with you? Anything.I believe that what grieves God most is when his children become satisfied with this life. When we no longer thirst and long, and search. Then we forget him.Until a crisis comes. Pain walks through our door. We need him again. He allows the struggle to exist because he knows we can't make it alone. We will call on him.Beyond the need is desire. What would my life look like, what could God use me for if I did not just need him for his strength, peace, and guidance, but wanted HIM? Every. Day. Every. Moment.I am reading a book, "I Want God" by Lisa Whittle. I've been challenged, along with the women from our church to search my heart for desire. Do I just need God and his blessings or do I want him? We are all broken and imperfect. No super girls doing it all with it all together. That's truth. But listen to God's truth. He has given us his greatest gift, his Holy Spirit to dwell in us.

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us."  2 Corinthians 4:7

We are the clay pots, chipped, flawed, and easily broken. He is okay with our hot mess. He chose us anyway.I'll just tell you that I have tried to get this life right, to be the good girl and I stink at it. But, you know what I can do? I can seek him, pursue him as he is pursuing me. I can come into his presence and just be with him. Mess and all. In his presence he will work out all the rest. He will remind me of how great he is, greater than my fears, questions, struggles, and responsibilities. He will pour his grace over my mess, covering my sin. He will open my eyes to his goodness and his work around me that I couldn't see before when my eyes were fixed on my agenda and my worries.Don't make this something that you need to get right, something that you need to do. Just seek him because he is everything you desire and he desires you. He loved us first. I can't wrap my mind around that. Its too much, but its' truth.If you are exhausted, worried, and overwhelmed like most women, then stop. Right now if I told you there is a place where you could go to get rid of every worry, stress, and fear, would you go? Ridiculous for me to even ask, right?That place is his presence. He's waiting for you now and every moment of every day.

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you;

I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you

in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

Psalm 63:1-4

 What can God do with an open heart that seeks him? Anything. Because when we are overwhelmed with him instead of this life, we are in tune with his plan not obsessed with ours.He's waiting for you. Go.
